Glen Group is buying Scottish public telecoms operator and ISP Colloquium.

The telecoms services supplier is paying £100,000 in cash for the business, which has its own telecoms switch and interconnect arrangements with BT, Virgin media and Thus. The deal will help Glen to provide a broader and cost effective telecoms service. It will also be able to cross-sell its own services.

Colloquium is one of the oldest ISP is Scotland - it started offering the service in 1995.

Colloquium made a small profit on revenues of £518,000 in the year to February 2008. It also has no bank debt.

Shares in Glen rose 0.015p to 0.11p, valuing the company at £1.31m.
