Web consolidator Hecta Media Inc has bought another portfolio of domain names.
This is one of the two portfolios that Hecta, which is headed by American technology entrepreneur Frederick Krueger, mentioned when it made its initial acquisitions. It has paid $735,000 for the portfolio, which includes German and other European domain names. These will generate income through search links that generate click-through advertising revenues.
There are no financial figures for this portfolio but Hecta expects it to contribute to earnings in this financial year.
At 3.5p, BVI-registered Hecta is valued at £5.68m. The bid/offer spread is 2.5p-4.5p. Hecta still has the majority of the £4.67m it raised when it joined Aim in November 2007.
