Growth in the LED sector is offsetting lower revenues from the PCB sector for tools and services provider Holders Technology.

LED revenues grew by one-quarter even though a major contract was lost. These revenues include a consultancy business that helps customers to balance lighting performance with energy efficiency.

In the year to November 2013, revenues rose by 5% to £14.3m – after stripping out the discontinued Chinese operations. Holders swung from a loss of £68,000 to a profit of £97,000 – excluding the Chinese loss of £269,000.

Net cash was £1.3m at the end of November 2013. The total dividend for the year was 2p a share.

At 58.5p a share, Holders is valued at £m. The shares are trading on 32 times prospective earnings.
