Cash machine advertising technology developer i-design has secured its first US contract.

US-based cash machine operator Cardtronics, which manages 33,700 cash machines around the world, has signed a multi-year agreement which covers 3,000 machines in the US and UK for third party advertising and internal marketing campaigns. There is a revenue share agreement.

This contract means that by the summer there will be 8,600 cash machines using the atmAd software. If Cardtronics rolls out the software to its other machines it will be hugely significant for i-design.

Edison is still shying away from publishing a forecast for the year to September 2010, which should include the Cardtronics software licence. Edison does reckon that revenues will be between £2.3m and £2.8m but even at the upper end i-design will still lose money.

At 17p a share, up 3p on the day, i-design is valued at £2.4m.
