Barclays is the latest bank signed up by cash machine advertising technology provider i-design.

Shares in i-design jumped 4.75p to 29.75p, which values the company at £4.2m.

The deal covers all 4,000 cash machines operated by Barclays in the UK. This takes the total number of cash machines using i-design’s atmAd software to 21,000.

House broker Arbuthnot believes that this deal underpins its forecast loss of £400,000 on revenues of £3m in the year to September 2011. The atmAd software should be installed on the Barclays cash machines in the second half of this financial year.

Edison’s cash flow forecast shows the company’s cash falling to £326,000 at the end of September 2011. That is less than the forecast cash outflow for 2010-11 so i-design needs to reduce the cash outflow next year.  The Barclays deal will help to do that.
