Cash machine advertising software supplier i-design increased its full year turnover by 52% even though new contracts with HSBC and Alliance & Leicester didn’t contribute.

The software revenues from these contracts will come through in the year to September 2008.

These are the first figures since i-design floated in July. Turnover improved from £679,000 to £1.03m while the operating loss was broadly unchanged at £622,000. The majority of that turnover is coming from advertising sales.

Advertising revenues are based on the number of transactions and with more cash machines being signed up these should continue to rise. Alliance & Leicester has 2,345 cash machines, while HSBC has 3,299 – although these are only showing HSBC adverts at the moment.

Advertising recall rates have been measured at more than 80%. Advertising can be tailored to gender and the first brand to use this service was Nivea. Other advertisers include British Airways, Orange and New Look.

The shares rose 1.5p to 58p, against a flotation price of 67p.
