Digital media distributor Independent Media Distribution expects its 2007 profits to be ahead of expectations.

Trading has been strong since the interims and this is expected to continue into next year. Sales in the July to October period are 62% ahead of the same time last year. Even stripping out last year’s acquisition Optimad the growth is 30%. IMD has won two significant TV clients from its main competitor.

IMD distributes the majority of the TV ads broadcast in the UK and its Caria administration software handles more than 85% of all TV ads (based on value).

There is good news from the German start-up as well. Client development has been faster than anticipated.

The shares initially rose 7p to 50p on the news but they are still just below their annual high of 52p.
