Intelek says that its underlying profits will be well ahead of last year.

Strong defence demand boosted satellite communications and microwave components sales. Aerospace structures business CML has also won military business but it is likely to be hit by a weak corporate jet market. This will hit its 2009-10 profit contribution.

Profits of £4.1m are expected for the year to March 2009 and Intelek says that they will be similar in 2009-10.

At 14p a share, Intelek is valued at £12.2m. The shares are trading on just over four times 2008-09 earnings.

Full year figures will be released on 9 June 2009.
