Lo-Q is installing its Text-Q system at the Parque Isla Magica in Seville, Spain.
This the first mainland European theme park to install the virtual queuing technology developer’s Text-Q system, which enables mobile phone users to reserve their place in the line for attractions. Users can pay a fee to avoid queuing for eight of the park’s rides.
The installation will be completed in July 2009. The initial agreement lasts until January 2010.
The Text-Q system is used by Flamingo Land in Yorkshire, the London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds.
There was a 3p rise in the Lo-Q share price to 80.5p, which values the company at £12.3m. The share price has risen by 177% over the past year.
