Looks Investment is selling its property in Huddersfield to Kirklees Metropolitan Council for £2.1m and changing its name for the second time in three months.

The Huddersfield property is a former department store and is in the books for £1.56m. The sale will have to be passed by shareholders at its AGM. The cash will be used to reduce borrowings by £1.43m.

Having changed its name from CityBlock to Looks Investment at the end of August the management thinks that the new name doesn’t have “any commercial merit for the operations of the company”. It is changing the name to Springdoo to reflect the New Zealand-based video communications company it bought in June.
