LED lighting and electro-mechanical engineering LPA Group is preparing a planning application for its Tudor Works head office in Saffron Walden and it could be worth much more than its £500,000 book value.
The 1.4 acre site is 100 years old and it is used for manufacturing connectors and stand-by power supplies for rail and airports. It is in a residential area and LPA has identified a new factory site in Saffron Walden.
The application will be for Outline Planning Consent to redevelop Tudor Works for residential use.
LPA has already received offers for the site from more than one housebuilder.
At 40.5p a share, LPA is valued at £4.64m.
