Animations producer Ludorum generated its first revenues in 2008 thanks to its Chuggington series.

Revenues were £170,000 and they were all generated by the 52 episode Chuggington train animation series. The loss increased from £1.6m to £2.37m. Net debt was £140,000.
Ludorum has already won a contract with the BBC to produce 26 more 10 minute episodes of Chuggington. The first series has been licensed to 145 countries. The first Chuggington DVD has sold more than 13,000 copies in the UK. The first issue of a comic produced with DC Thomson has sold more than 40,000 copies.

A series of Dennis and Gnasher should be completed in the autumn.

At 150p a share, Ludorum is valued at £12.2m. The shares have risen 38.2% since the interim figures were published at the end of September 2008.
