Mobile Doctors Group

Medico-legal reports provider Mobile Doctors had a better than expected first half.

Mobile Doctors reversed into shell company Petsome to form Mobile Doctors Group and joined Aim in July. The figures for the six months to May 2007 are for the business before the reversal.

Turnover was 22% ahead at £7.69m. Gross margins were boosted by the renegotiation of commissions and operating profit rose from £216,000 to £262,000. That understates the true position because the profit figure was held back by costs relating the flotation.

However, now that the company is quoted there will be additional costs for advisers and other things required by quoted companies.

Daniel Stewart forecasts earnings per share of 5.5p for 2008.
