Mobile Streams made a small trading profit in the first half.

This is before depreciation, amortisation and interest or any one-off costs. The mobile content provider expects to continue to be profitable, at least on this basis, in the second half.

Cash in the bank held steady over the six month period at £2.3m.

The business has moved away from its dependence on music services and is trying to better use its distribution abilities. It has links with AT&T, SingTel, Telefonica and Vodafone amongst others. Management also believes that it is well placed to take advantage of the growth of mobile internet.

The shares recovered 0.125p to 2.875p, valuing Mobile Streams at £1.04m.

The figures for the six months to June 2008 will be published on 23 September.
