Mobile content supplier Mobile Streams is moving its finance function to New York and making finance director Ian Brewer redundant.

Gabriel Margent will become finance director. Margent has been involved in the launch of the Appitalism website, where users can download and discuss digital content.

Appitalism has more than 10m individual music downloads. North Americans can download tracks from EMI, Sony Music, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. In the UK, they can only download EMI and Warner content, as well as tracks from independent labels.

Mobile Streams has invested £750,000 in Appitalism.

Mobile Streams is changing its year end from December to June. The next audited results will be for the 18 months to June 2011.

At 18.75p a share, Mobile Streams is valued at £6.8m. The shares have more than tripled in the past year.
