Recruitment company Nakama returned to profit in the first half and expects further progress in the second half.

In the six months to September 2014, revenues increased from £8.63m to £11.1m and net fee income improved from £2.13m to £2.71m. Revenue growth was fastest in the UK but Asia Pacific, where there has been a trend towards, digital, revenues were one-fifth higher. Nakama swung from a loss of £25,000 to a profit of £222,000. 

There has been an upturn in financial services-related IT business in the UK. Changes to pensions legislation and new compliance rules should continue to boost demand from the financial services sector. Digital demand in the UK is at a five year high.

WH Ireland will be initiating research in the coming weeks and this will include a profit forecast.
