Ari Zaphiriou-Zarifi, the co-founder of Beeson Gregory which is now known as Evolution, has taken a 4.93% stake in cloud computing business Nasstar.

This follows the purchase of a 11.1% stake by Kestrel Opportunities, a fund managed by Ari Zaphiriou-Zarifiís business Kestrel Partners. Octopus took a 11.6% stake at the same time. These shares were part of a £1.2m fundraising at 8p a share earlier this month. Ari Zaphiriou-Zarifi has taken 16 days to notify the company and the market of his stake.

The money was raised to scale up its infrastructure and help in negotiations with potential partners around the world. It will also invest in developing its Hosted Desktop service.

Founder Charles Black is the biggest shareholder with 17.5%.

At 9p a share, Nasstar is valued at £4.57m.
