Northern Bear

Newcastle-upon-Tyne-based building services firm Northern Bear plans to reintroduce a dividend following a better than expected performance in the year to March 2014.

The shares rose by one-third to 40p, which values Northern Bear at £7.08m.

There was a strong second half performance and order book levels suggest that this is likely to continue. The dividend for the financial year is likely to be modest but it will provide a base for future growth.

Net debt was £7.14m at the end of September 2014. Debt is reducing and this trend should continue.
