Crop productivity improvement products developer Plant Impact is switching its head office from Preston to Hertfordshire as part of its collaboration with Rothamsted Research.

In September, Plant Impact will move to the Green Enterprise Science Park at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The two groups will cooperate on projects relating to plant nutrition and easing the effects of environmental stress on crop yields and quality. The initial collaboration will be on wheat programmes and Plant Impact will assist in deploying the technologies.

Plant Impact will benefit from an improvement in R&D capacity.

Rothamsted Research has been involved in agricultural research for more than 160 years.

At 14.25p a share, Plant Impact is valued at £7.19m.
