Portrait Software says that its second half sales increased by 10% compared to the first half.

Shares in Portrait Software recovered 2.25p to 7.5p each, which values the customer interaction optimisation software provider at 8.88m.

Software revenues grew 28% thanks to 20 new licence deals. Total revenues should increase by 300,000 to 14.4m in the year to March 2009. Gross cash is 3.4m.

Non-recurring charges of 2m mean that Portrait will report a loss in the year to March 2009. Annualised cost savings of more than 3.5m have been achieved.

The full year results will be released in June 2009.
