Silicon wafer reclaim services provider Pure Wafer says that volumes are still increasing.

The increased demand is coming from the US and Asian markets. The solar sector remains tough. The manufacturing sites in Swansea and Prescott are running at record production levels.

The semiconductor market is showing signs of improvement and 300mm of silicon chip manufacturing capacity is being installed.

WH Ireland forecasts a profit of £300,000 in the year to June 2013, rising to £1.5m the following year.

At 3.75p a share, Pure Wafer is valued at £10.1m. Last autumn, Pure Wafer raised £4.49m ($7.19m) via a placing and one-for-nine open offer at 3.5p a share. This cut net debt to around £4m. The business is cash generative and the debt should be paid off by the summer of 2014.
