Retail screen media supplier Retec Digital is well on its way to moving into profit this year.

In the six months to December 2007 Retec has been rolling out its Entertainment Xtra system in Sainsbury and Tesco. It has also completed a contract with Boots for kiosks for its Advantage card. It is also undertaking trials for electricals in Tesco and Asda.

House broker Charles Stanley forecasts profits of £500,000 for the year to June 2008, rising to £1.3m next year.

The shares rose 0.625p to 4.25p following the trading statement. That puts the shares on 13 times prospective earnings for this year, falling to six next year.
