Cash shell Sandford is buying Switzerland-based sports consulting business Wilton International Consulting.

Sandford was originally known as Media Steps but changed its name after the business failed and new management came in to clean up the company and put it on a sounder footing. Wilton’s trading business is called TSE and it is based in Lausanne. It acquired TSE two years ago. TSE provides advice to international sports organisations, the public sector and cities looking to host major sporting events. Customers include UEFA, the International Rowing Federation, the International Olympic Committee, the city of New York and the government of Austria. The business is profitable.
The cash and share deal values the business at just short of £2m. Sandford will change its name to TSE Group.
