Scotgold Resources Ltd is going to appeal the refusal of planning permission for a mine in Scotland.

The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Parks Board voted to refuse Scotgold’s planning application for the establishment of a proposed gold and silver mine at Cononish. Scotgold is talking to the Parks Authority but if it does not appeal by the 18 November it will not be allowed to subsequently.  Scotgold hopes to come to an agreement with the Parks Authority without going through the appeal.

There was still A$603,000 of cash in the bank at the end of September 2010. A A$1.03m non-renounceable rights issue at A$0.035 a share closes on 3 November.

At 3.75p a share, Scotgold is valued at £4.4m.
