Sports Cafe says it is in talks with its banks because of weak trading.
Management says that the Christmas trade was poor and there has been a slow start to 2008.
Back in November they warned that the 2007 loss would be more than forecast.
Sports Cafe is asking the bank to extend its borrowing facilities. It admits that there is no guarantee that the bank will remain supportive, although it has been up until now.
The shares slumped 2.75p to 5p.
