Stagecoach Theatre Arts says that its full year figures will be in line with expectations.

There have been fewer new school openings than planned during the year but increasing franchise fees from existing schools have offset that.

The lack of bank finance has hit new openings. Even existing franchisees are finding it difficult to finance expansion. There has not been any significant improvement in these conditions.

The US has moved into profit for the first time and Germany is also doing well.

At 51.5p a share, Stagecoach is valued at £5.11m.

Results for the year to May 2009 should be announced on 5 August 2009.
