Strontium reported a loss for the year to June 2007 but it has built a base from which it can move into profit.

The professional services provider lost £147,000 on turnover of £828,000. That included a loss by training business MiAD, which was acquired at the end of the period which coincided with its weakest part of the year. MiAD is a profitable business on an annual basis. The market research business has won a contract from Toyota Financial Services worth €750,000 over three years. This only got going after the year end.

The Strontium Alliance, which is a collection of businesses who can gain from referrals to other members customers, has 28 member companies. These include Strontium’s subsidiaries involved in training, market research and consultancy but the majority of the members are independent businesses. Strontium plans to have a maximum of 100 members.
