Strontium

Professional services provider Strontium reported an increased loss in the first half but it is building the foundations for a profitable future.

Delayed contracts hit first half revenues but the order book is growing. Revenues dipped from £464,000 to £346,000 in the six months to December 2007. The loss increased from £29,000 to £196,000.

The Learning Eye will make a three and a half month contribution in the second half. It is profitable so it will offset some of the group’s loss. Even after the purchase of TLE Strontium has around £350,000 of cash. This could be used for small, add-on acquisitions. It has got close to a couple of purchases but things found at the due diligence stage put it off.

The shares were unchanged at 22.5p.
