Degradable plastics additive supplier Symphony Environmental Technologies says that its 2012 loss will be even more than the £1.1m originally envisaged.

Revenues slumped from £8.5m to £4.9m, although the majority of the 2012 revenues were generated in the second half. December revenues were not as good as expected. Sales were delayed to some new countries that were signed up last year and initial shipments are likely to be in the first quarter of 2013. Existing customers also delayed orders.

Although there was an initial dip in the share price it ended the day up 0.13p to 3.5p. Symphony is valued at £4.48m.
