TEG Group has entered into a joint venture with UTS Biogastechnik to develop anaerobic digestion plants in the UK.

TEG has the market expertise and Munich-based UTS the technology. The facilities are most likely to process food and catering waste.

TEG and UTS will work exclusively together in the local authority and waste management sectors in the UK. UTS will market its technology in the agricultural and general private sectors.

TEG uses Silo Cage in-vessel composting technology and has built eight plants in the UK. A combination of this technology and UTS’s technology could also be offered to customers.

UTS has constructed 70 AD plants and supplied equipment to 1,500 AD facilities in total.

At 40p a share, TEG is valued at £19.3m.
