Waste composting plants operator TEG Group has commissioned its Perth anaerobic digestion (AD) plant.

This will involve a gradual increase in waste feed rates so that full capacity will be reached by the end of the first quarter of 2012. The first electricity will be generated earlier in the first quarter.

TEG is hopeful that the AD plant in Dagenham will reach financial close by the end of the year. Confirmation of planning permission is awaited.

TEG expects to process record levels of waste in 2011. However, TEG will not begin constructing its part of the Bolton (Greater Manchester Waste contract) plant until early in 2012.

At 8.75p a share, TEG is valued at £10.3m.
