Composting technology supplier and operator TEG Group says that trading at its own facilities exceeded expectations so revenues and profit have increased.

The share price has recovered by one-fifth to 5.38p, which values TEG at £10.1m.

Record volumes of waste have been processed and the Perth anaerobic digestion (AD) plant has been generating electricity since April.

TEG has begun construction of the composting and AD facility in Dagenham. The £16m contract should be completed in the first quarter of 2014. After that TEG has a 15 year operating contract.

TEG has planning permission for its next project. Funding remains difficult to obtain but there are proposals for financing the new plant.

Landfill tax continues to rise and local authorities continue to divert organic waste away from landfill.

The annual results will be published in the middle of March.
