Information publisher and TV programme producer Ten Alps is selling a business that it inherited when it reversed into Osprey Communications in 2001.

The marketing services agency in Fareham is being sold to its management for a net consideration of £145,000 and Ten Alps is also retaining £154,000 of cash.

The business generated revenues of £5m in 2012. The reported pre-tax profit was £8,000 although it is unclear

At 1.9p a share, Ten Alps is valued at £5.26m. That is still below the recent placing price of 2p a share. Herald investment Trust is a strong backer of Ten Alps and put up more than one-third of the £482,500 raised, which gave it a 34.5% stake on top of loans that it has made to the company.
