Ten Alps has made its first move into the Asian TV and publishing market through the purchase of Singapore-based Uproar Asia.

The TV programme producer and business publisher is paying an initial £30,000 for the Singapore-based factual TV programme producer. The maximum payment will be up to £562,000 - depending on profitability. Ten Alps is buying the UK operations of the company and programmes for the Vietnamese, Malaysian and US markets.

Ten Alps wants to replicate its UK strategy in Asia. It intends to set up an Asian advertising sales operation.

At 26p a share, Ten Alps is valued at £16.8m.
