Media intelligence business Thomson Intermedia admits that its forecasts for the current financial year was overoptimistic.
Gold Greenlees Trott founder Michael Greenlees has taken over as chief executive. He has improved the management team and says he will invest in refocusing Thomson’s technology and data services.
Turnover moved ahead from £8m to £8.4m in the six months to October 2007. Thomson wrote off £1.46m of capitalised development costs. That led to a £1.22m loss, against a profit of £238,000 in the first half of the previous year.
This is no time to disappoint. The shares slumped 22.5p to 34p.
