Thomson Intermedia intends to take more advantage of its ‘billetts’ brand.

The media intelligence business will then have three main products: billets media monitoring (monitoring mentions of brands in the media), billets media consulting (provides a way of measuring the effectiveness of marketing) and billets marketing sciences (helping to evaluate effective marketing investment).

Chairman Michael Greenlees believes that this range of products differentiates Thomson Intermedia from its competitors. It helps customers to monitor and measure what is a highly fragmented media market.

Andrew Beach has been appointed as finance director.

Figures for the year to April 2008 will be published on 23 July. Edison forecasts underlying profits dipping form £2m to £1.9m on revenues 6% higher at £17m. Recurring revenues generate nearly 90% of income.

The shares edged up 0.5p to 32p, which values the company at seven times estimated 2007-08 earnings.
