Ultima Networks is moving into the solar market.
Its products division, which already sells electric bicycles, plans to distribute photovoltaic products supplies by a division of its major shareholder, Ahkter Group. The technology should help reduce the cost of installing large scale solar farms to generate electricity.
This news helped push the share price up 0.23p to 1.9p.
Solar is a fast-growing market but there are no indications of how much the new product range will contribute to Ultima’s figures.
