The latest drilling in Tanzania by Uranium Resources’ partner Western Metals shows high grade uranium intercepts.

By the middle of September 171 holes totalling 10,670m had been drilled in Southern Tanzania. This completes the drilling programme for 2008. Two of the regional prospects were not drilled because of access problems. More drilling will commence in the second quarter of 2009.

The majority of the drilling was on the Mtonya prospect. This drilling showed extended mineralisation and a number of significant intercepts.

The results from seven holes are still being awaited.

One particular whole was so promising it will be followed up next year.

At 1.5p a share, Uranium Resources is valued at £4.37m.
