URU Metals has raised £770,000 at 0.45p a share - a 12.5% premium to the previous placing price.
The share price has fallen from 0.63p to 0.55p. The cash will be used on the South Africa-based Zebediela nickel project. Results from the proposed infill drilling and other exploration work later this month are expected in the spring.
There are also plans to re-commence work on the Burgersfort nickel project in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa, where URU has a 50% stake. This project is located near to the Zebediela nickel project.
URU is also seeking other investment opportunities in the resources sector.
