Watermark Global has sold its acid mine drainage treatment business to South African shell Mine Restoration Investments Ltd and it retains a 40% stake in the buyer.

Mine Restoration (www.minerestoration.co.za), which is quoted on AltX, has paid £2.69m in shares and £1.81m for Western Utilities Corporation. Dithering by the authorities means that progress has been slow.

Watermark Global also has a coal briquetting business.

At 0.17p a share, Watermark Global is valued at £2.55m.
