Watermark Global says that a resource verification shows that there will be 155m litres of treatable water per day in the Western, Central and Eastern Basins.

Golder Associates carried out the study, which fits in with Watermark‘s plans to treat acid mine drainage and supply industrial quality water for re-use in mines. The plan is to supply drinkable water as well.

Engineering designs for the water treatment plant should be complete before the end of August.

The Bankable Feasibility Study should be completed by the end of September 2009. It had been hoped that the BFS would be completed during the summer but it will take a few weeks more than envisaged. By the end of next year Watermark hopes to have secured a supply agreement with Rand Water. Full production could begin in March 2011.

At 0.75p a share, Watermark is valued at £5.09m. In June 2009, Watermark raised £1.97m after expenses at 0.5p a share. There was £651,000 in the bank at the end of 2008.
