WH Ireland

Paul Compton has resigned as chief executive of WH Ireland without any explanation from the Aim adviser.

The share price fell by one-quarter to 56p, which values WH Ireland at £13.2m.

It is unclear whether Compton’s departure is due to the performance of the company or something more personal, such as a personality clash. Compton became chief executive at the end of January 2011.

Recently appointed head of wealth management Richard Killingbeck will take temporary control of WH Ireland, dependent on the approval of the FSA. WH Ireland’s chairman Rupert Lowe will assist him.
