IT managed services provider Xploite is no longer in bid talks.
Chief executive Ian Smith says the termination of the talks will allow Xploite to concentrate on its business and further acquisitions of its own.
New business has been won with Wyevale Garden Centres, Mitie and EasyJet.
The market was disappointed that there is going to be no takeover and the shares slumped 9.5p to 41p, valuing the company at £16.2m. The shares are trading on eight times forecast earnings for 2007-08.
