Catalytic Solutions Inc develops catalysts for motor cars and vans and lists Honda, Renault, Ford, General Motors and Mintec. Catalytic calls its technology Mixed Phase Catalyst. A subsidiary called Applied Utility Systems develops gas turbines, boilers and process heater emission control systems. The group's activities cover North America, Europe and Japan. Catalytic joined Aim on 22 November 2006 when it raised £15.8m via a placing at 123p a share. Ontario-based Engine Control Systems was acquired in December 2007 for $21.15m in cash. Catalytic raised £4.6m at 80p a share to help finance this acquisition. ECS manufactures heavy duty diesel emission control systems technology.
