ClearStream Technologies

Overview

Ireland-based ClearStream Technologies manufactures balloon catheters and stents used for heart procedures and for minimally invasive surgery to clear clogged arteries. It was set up in 1996 and its management acquired the business in 2000. ClearStream joined Aim in November 2004, when it raised £4.3m net at 79p a share. Own-brand sales make up one-half of revenues and products co-labelled with the likes of Cordis make up nearly one-third. The rest come from products manufactured for other companies.
