FDM Group

Overview

IT recruiter FDM differs from many of its peers in that it has its own employed consultants called 'Mounties' which it hires out at higher margins than freelance contractors. They specialise in Java and .NET software. FDM was formed in 1995 when FDi merged with Mountfield, hence Mounties. Rod Flavell, who has 25 years experience in the sector, became chief executive in 2001. FDM joined Aim on 7 April 2005, when it raised £3.51m at 78p a share.
