Overview

Gas Turbine Efficiency joined Aim on 21 December 2005 when it raised £4.4m (after expenses of £1m) at 30p a share. GTE's origins go back more than 15 years. Its founder Peter Apsland was employed by SAAB Aero in Sweden and he felt that the ways of cleaning engines weren't efficient. He developed a way of cleaning engines using high pressure techniques that was quicker, more effective and cut down on harmful effects to the environment. The product range has expanded over the years to include performance monitoring, fluid and control sub-systems that improve turbine performance, fuel efficiency and parts life monitoring.
