Imaginatik

Overview

Imaginatik provides collaborative software and consultancy for innovation management and problem solving. The core software product is called Idea Central. The software can handle input from 100 to 100,000 people and offers social networking in order to connect the people with corporate problems and gain feedback. All the responses can be brought together at an enterprise level and return on investment of the ideas that are taken up can be measured. This is a multi-lingual system. The recession has led to a greater emphasis on the potential cost saving benefits that can be obtained from the software. Ideas from staff members can save large organisations millions of pounds or, in the case of most of Imaginatik’s clients, dollars. Imaginatik has offices in Boston, Massachusetts and Winchester, in the UK. The majority of revenues are from outside of the UK and the US is the biggest market. Partners include IBM and Computer Sciences Corporation. Imaginatik has a multinational client base, such as Allianz, AstraZeneca, Boeing, Cargill, General Electric, Kraft, Nokia, Whirlpool, Wal-Mart and Pfizer. Imaginatik joined Aim on 15 December 2006, when it raised £2.1m gross - £1.5m, net of expenses - at 7.5p a share. In February 2008, Pfizer subscribed for £500,000 worth of shares at a price of 6.22p a share. Existing shareholders invested an additional £222,000 in a September 2008 placing at 4p a share.
