Kiotech International

Overview

Kiotech International supplies feed additives for aquaculture and agriculture. Kiotech developed the Ultrabite pheromone technology for fishing. Kiotech has an agreement with CEFAS (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture) which provides scientists for fish and oceanic research. Kiotech, which was formed in 1996, raised £1.82m net of expenses at 7p a share when it joined Aim on 30 June 2005. The shares had been traded on Ofex since December 1997. A placing at 3p a share raised £4.75m in September 2009. That helped to finance the £3.42m acquisition of animal nutrition and feed additive business Optivite Group.
