Spaceandpeople sells space on the concourses of shopping centres or other areas with additional space. These could be leisure attractions, airports and garage forecourts. The technical term is experiential marketing. Companies, such as Jaguar, set up stands to promote their products for a limited period. They can pay thousands of pounds a week for the space and Spaceandpeople generally receives around one-fifth of the payment as commission. There is little direct competition and the main alternatives are other forms of advertising media.
